I know so many people who couldn’t join me at Disneyland on July 17, 2015 for the 60th Anniversary celebration. I couldn’t save a cupcake, but I did pick up a few items for one lucky Magical Memories with the Mouse fan. It includes a number of items released on July 17 including a logo bag, logo glass, logo magnet, and limited edition logo pin as well as a blue popcorn bucket (which was released May 22 and still available). It also includes the new Looking for Mickey Quest pamphlet, lanyard, and medallion from Disneyland Park just released on Friday and scheduled to end on July 31. Finally, it includes the special Guidemaps for both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure that were only available to park guests on July 17.

Magical Memories with the Mouse 
Disneyland is my absolute favorite place to go. We took our entire family for the 50th Golden Anniversary Celebration 10 years ago (on July 17th, 2005) and it was AMAZING!! That was a wonderful, memorable day.
We were planning to go to this year’s 60th Diamond Anniversary Celebration but the money and travel plans didn’t come together (people’s lives get more complicated as they get older), but we tried.
My wife and I go to Disneyland every chance we get. For a couple of years we even had Annual Passes and went at least 30 times a year…Annual Passes are so “freeing”…you can go into the park to just see a show or eat at your favorite restaurant or ride one ride…it’s awesome! And you don’t have to worry about getting the most from your 1-day ticket and exhaust yourself. It’s expensive, but I definitely recommend it. When we have money again that will be the first thing we buy. 🙂

My favorite Disneyland memory has to be the first time I went without my parents. My girlfriend and I planned a day trip with our boyfriends. We booked flights from AZ to LA early in the morning and took a shuttle bus to DIsneyland. We played all day in the park and then hopped the bus back to the airport and back home to AZ. My boyfriend at the time bought me large sized Lady and the Tramp stuffed animals for my collection.

My first Disneyland memory is 1967, the first year we went. I got my Girl Scout badge for planning the whole trip. Reservations, budget, everything for a family of 6. I was 11 and my sisters were 10, 8 and 6. We had our silhouettes cut, they were remodeling Tomorrowland and building New Orleans Square. It was great. I passed that love of Disney down to my kids. In Sept. my sister, daughter and 89 year old dad will be in Disneyland for the 60th Anniversary.

I have so many! But my favorite has to be the last trip I was able to take there with my mom, my sister and her kids in 2009. My mother LOVED Disneyland! My parents went there for their honeymoon in 1959-so on this last trip we had mom decked out in pins: family reunion, birthday, 50th anniversary (she would have celebrated with my dad that year), magic memories, you name it! Sadly she passed last year, so that will have to be my special Disney memory with her 😊

My favorite Disneyland memory was the first time I took my adopted children to the parks and we met their cousin and aunt and uncle there. The guest night there, we went to DVD to eat at Rainforest Cafe and on the way past the Disneyland gates, we heard the Disney music playing. My 9 year old son got up out of his wheel chair (he has multiple ailments including horrible chronic leg pain, cp and fatigue) and put his hand out to his 11 year old girl cousin and she took his hand and got up from her wheel chair (she uses hers to help her deal with the crowds as she has autism and anxiety) and they started to dance, carefree and happy. That moment alone was worth the world to me.

My favorite memory of DL is seeing my youngest daughter meet Jack Skellington-her absolute favorite! We then rode HM, it was fall, so had the NBC overlay, and she loved the ride!

I have so many favorite memories through the almost 40 years I have been going there, but if I had to choose one I would say it was watching the Main Street Electrical Parade with my Tata & Nana. I was a teenager, just graduated from high school and this was my graduation surprise to come to Disneyland. As it turned out this was the last time my Tata & Nana would come with us to Disneyland. On this trip they got Mickey Mouse Ears (blue for him & red for her) and I remember looking over at them sitting in the wheelchairs we rented for them and seeing the their eyes light up with glee as the parade passed by and instantly more than any other time I saw the magic of Disneyland right before my eyes. My grandparents in one magical moment were young again and seeing this parade through the eyes of their former child selves! Luckily my aunt captured this moment on film and it is a memory I will forever treasure!!!

My heart loving memories, are with both my parents, (who have both passed)! We’d go to Disneyland, and for the parades they would sit on a bench, on the porch on Main Street!!! All 7 of us kids would stand or sit near them!! How I wish I could once more sit near them physically, not just in spirit!!! Disneyland is my Home away from Home!!!

My favorite Disneyland memory was in 1975. I flew out to California to see my brother and his family. I was 16 years old. He took me to Disneyland. Growing up in Wisconsin I had never seen anything like this! I was amazed! My first ride in the Haunted Mansion just did me in. I just stared at everything wondering how they did that! When we got to the Madame Leota head in the crystal ball, my mind was blown! So that first trip to Disneyland is still my favorite memory. My brother is no longer with us, but he lives fondly in my memories.

So many memories of Disneyland, I lived right down the street and my mom would take us over to the Disneyland resort hotel, we would run through the amazing waterfalls and then hop on the monorail to sit on main street to watch the electrical parade then the fireworks, my dad worked for Disney so it was a daily adventure. here 42 years later the electrical parade and fireworks are still my favorite (so glad they brought back the electrical parade)

My Favorite Disneyland memory is actually not to long ago. I have been to Disneyland many many times when I was younger and it was until last year that my boyfriend got me a Season pass. My favorite movie ever made is the lion king and I also am obsessed with Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast, so he knew how much I would love a season pass. My dad purposed to my mom at the Blue Bayou over 30 years ago and they have not been there since. After my Uncle passed away, My good friend who works at Disneyland was able to get my parents in for free for the day. While we were walking around and going on rides, my friend called me and told me he had a surprise for my family and I. He told me to go to the Blue Bayou at a certain time and to not be late. When we got there we found out he was able to make reservations for us for lunch. If you have ever been to Disneyland and tried getting reservations at the Blue Bayou, you know you have to make reservations months in advance for a good table. The restaurant brought out a desert at the end of our meal congratulating my parents on there anniversary. It was truly magical to see my parents light up and smile again after everything that had been happening with our family at the time.

I have been to Disneyland twice in the past few years. I typically go to Walt Disney World since I live on the east coast. There is just something magical about being in the park that Walt built and loved. Two of my favorite memories are riding in the Lilly Belle with my kids and friend as well as touring Walt’s apartment.

My favorite memory is from 2011 when I took my daughter to Disneyland for her first visit at almost 3 years old. Peter Pan’s Flight was her first ride, my favorite. When we were on our ship and on our way I watched her face light up as we began to soar through the stars. It was so magical for her and I loved every second of it!

my son is into the history of Disneyland more so of Walt Disney before our trip we bring out the disneyland playsets and play the Disney vacation vids and all Disney movies to have a recap of the park and rides. best time is our first time the 50th year we rode the golden dumbo!! we’ve had annual passes a few times we’d go every other month. we went once last year. my son loves space mountain and I love sleeping beauty’s castle

I grew up able to go to Disneyland mostly every year for my birthday. One year I was turning 13my mom and step-dad said that if we are not in the meet up stop before the fireworks meet at the car in the structure (I was with my older brother) after waiting 10min my parents were not there and I said lets go to the car like they said and my brother said “no! You love the fireworks if I get in trouble that’s fine, but I want my sister to see the fireworks!🎆”😊so we got a spot to watch them. During the intro one of the parts of the song was “I wish I may I wish I might have the wish I wish tonight” I closed my eyes and wished my mom and step-dad would find us so we can watch together. And I kid you not, when I was done wishing I opened my eyes and my mom said “Ashley!” And I turned around and there she was!! It was like the best wish that actually came true in a crowd full of people!! One of the best moments of my life!!✨

We recently had a very memorable Disney vacation with our kids. I just decided to pack up and go. My husband and I got them dressed and left at 4 in the morning. The drive was bearable. The rest of the trip was flawless. Our hotel room was amaze! The walk to the park was a synch! No melt downs by the kids or myself. It was a blast! Our first family vay-cay with just us. I can’t wait to go back.
