Music to Eat By – Enjoying Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival Eat to the Beat Concert Series

Welcome to this month’s Blogorail Red Loop. Today we are sharing what you need to know to get ready for the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

I’ve been writing a lot about Disneyland lately, mainly because that’s where I’ve been visiting, but I had to make a switch to Walt Disney World because in a few short weeks, one of my favorite times to visit Epcot will be here. It’s time for the Food and Wine Festival! I enjoy tasting samples of food and drink (it’s not just about wine) from all over the world, but there’s another piece I enjoy as well. The music!

This isn’t just any music. This is music from names you’ll recognize. All have had chart-topping songs. Best of all? It’s included in Epcot admission! Shows are held daily at 5:30pm, 6:45pm, and 8:00pm on the stage in front of The American Adventure in World Showcase.

In my experience, the seating area fills early so if you want to be guaranteed a seat, you always needed to get in line early; however, this year, Disney has introduced Fastpass+ for the concerts. Just like with Fastpass+ for attractions, guests can log in to My Disney Experience to reserve a time. For those staying at a Disney resort, times can be reserved up to 74 days in advance (60 days plus that days of the resort reservation). For those staying off-site or visiting locally, times can be reserved up to 30 days in advance. Don’t have a Fastpass+. There will still be a standby line, but as I mentioned, you may want to get there early. If you’re like me, however, and don’t actually care if you can see the performers, the music can easily be heard and enjoyed in the area around the stage. I’ve been known to grab a turkey leg and find a seat in the courtyard of The American Adventure instead. If you do decide to stand to listen, just be sure you’re not blocking any walkways.

So, who’s coming? Check out this year’s lineup.

The groups this year are better than I ever remembered them being! I love David Cook and the twelve year old in me loves Hanson still 🙂

I’ve never actually been to an Eat to the Beat concert, although I’ve heard them as I walk through the America Pavillion on my way around the world. While I’m there this trip though, Sugar Ray is playing – and it’s the first concert that I’m excited about and may have to make a stop for.

We caught Smash Mouth last year. They are actually pretty good!! The one year we were there for Rick Springfield we were amazed at the line to get in. All the way back to Germany!
